These kind of remind me of the Grievers from the maze runner!! It's so cool, I would be so terrified of this creature if i caught up with it in the woods.

What kind of behavior do you think this thing would have? Is it evil? What are it's motives? What does it do? Would it eat me? Please take the time to think of your answers & create the simple story of the creature here :)

I don't care much about the famous :D I paint to be happy mostly. As stupid as it sounds.
But money would help ! :o I wouldn't say no to a house on venice beach lol.

I started when I was about 17, so just go for it and you'll succeed in drawing. Everyone can :)

I must express, this piece really intrigues me, and I've been looking at it regularly since I first saw it about a week ago, to draw the inspiration it radiates.

I don't know what it is, but you somehow managed to create an entire world around this creature, and it really is inspiring.. truly unique atmosphere!
And 2-3 hours of work really is efficient.

I'll be keeping a eye on you, you posses great creativity and technical knowledge.

Take care my friend. =D

Haha no...I don't think anyone would suggest this, there's a lot of better artworks that deserve it !

Also, mayne this one is alright, but a DD would give me a lot of exposure and I'm not sure my gallery is interesting enought to show it to that much people ! :p

(but thanks !! :D )

Yeah. I was just on Youtube, so I got confused, sorry lol.

And hearing that worries me, I'm wanting to get INTO that industry one day. So, I should probably be practicing, yet I'm busy here. I just know a lot of people that aren't a fraction as good, but get a big head about what they CAN do, and wont admit they have a long way to go.

lol np I get it.

Well yeah you hear that a lot...But those people arn't nice. And you know, a lot of people in the industry also look for nice people, and not only for skills.
And yeah if you want to work in the industry you should work as much as possible. The 3 last days I've worked from 8pm to 7 am on an artwork lol. When you love, you don't count.

ftw you have four arms? 0.o How can you do the creature and so detailed environment in 2-3 hours?

lol ! No.
It's basically speed painting techniques, puting details where needed and leaving some areas really abstract, but tricking the eye in thinking they're details.
I started creating a basic black silhouette of the creature, used some references to get a design, started rendering it, painted a bit the background ( it was all black and white at the beginning)
Then added some light and texture on the creature and later on work on the background again with custom brushes for the foliage :)

XD Oh yeah I missed the power of the textures and custom brushes ^^ Good work! Did you do the creature in greyscale first and then you added some little color layers on it?

Also, if you enjoy this type of texture and custom brushes based artwork, I recommand you check out Mathias Verhasselt ([link]) and Nicolas Bouvier ([link] )

yes :)
I usually color grayscales this way : different colors I just place on an overlay layer, work a bit loosely to get nice gradients/ get the main areas, and then I paint on top of it on a new layer just on normal mode, using the color picker :)

Oh thatīs nice. I`m just starting with the greyscale method and itīs pretty cool and make things simple with realistic/semi-realistic type of drawings (and with drawings that have a lot of shadows and ligths :p). I use overlay layers with color too. Then I made some layers for extra details as reflections, brightness, etc... But I need lot of practice xD Anyway is a very fast type of painting ^^ (making the whole draginw from zero, painting each color at a time is really long proccess D:, at least for me xD).

yeah it also helps with values and volume by extension,it's pretty cool ! :D .
But in my opinion the bad aspect of this is that you have less hues when you paint this way.
You're forced to worked with a bigger variety of colors when painting with color directly :)
