Hi !

This is another attempt at Matte painting.
Didn't have much time for that one so I had to keep some parts a bit sketchy to be able to submit it for a contest.

The idea behind this is basically overpopulation in paris, as well as disparity among social classes.
People would build towns on lakes in paris, while the Eiffel tower would be surrounded by huge buildings ( where the rich live basically ! ).

This image isn't really supposed to be set at the trocadero ( near the eiffel tower) for the contest, but since I had to place the Eiffel tower in it and well, it's at the trocadero, I thought I'd name it like this here.

I was inspired by, 'Hawken' , 'Adrift' as far as games are concerned, and Andree Wallin / Dylan cole regarding artists.

Check them out if you havn't !

Hope you'll like it :) Now let's cross fingers for the contest ! :)

Edit: Wow a DD ! Really ? You guys are awesome ! ^^
I really want to thank :iconalltheoriginalnames: for featuring it, it's much appreciated.

Also, there's now a tutorial of this artwork here, check it out ! :

Dust in Neo-Trocadero by *Exphrasis has a great sense of depth and scale which add to the realism of this stunning futuristic cityscape. ( Featured by ^alltheoriginalnames )

This painting is a great example of scenery in a fantast point of view. It reminds me of the game Mass Effect, and I wonder if it was inspired by it. It has vision, some originality (until I know if it's from Mass Effect or not, the Rating I put is a wild card), and great Technique and Impact! One other thing I've noticed is the electrical lines, which gives me an extra "yes". Why? It still blends today's world. Same with the houses on the bottom. The big buildings (from the description) you can tell it's the rich people. This is great art and everyone should favorite and give the artist a pat on the back in my opinion.
