Speed painting done at school, for a speed painting workshop I created recently :D

It was a great idea...A lot of people are motivated and we meet twice a week to share ideas, theory and general knowledge linked to speedpainting and creative images in general.

Hope you like it !
Done in about 2 hours in total if you count the +1 hour to add some small fixes :)

Hello, I'm a student who's currently doing an Ancient Mythology concept art project at college; in this project I have to find some drawings and ask their respective artist some questions about them. I've seen this drawing and I love it!!! So firstly I would like to ask your permission to use it in my project and secondly, if the answer to the previous question is yes, I would like to know if you could kindly answer some questions about your drawing. If you agree then please reply me back so I'll send you the questions, if not thank you anyway.

^^; sorry but I don't have facebook....
here are the question
• The correct name, artist name and date the art was produced
• A background to the works production (if it is available)
• What inspires the work of the artist, find relevant and accurate sources
• What does the artist say about their own work
• What other genres/artists/people/works of art inspire the artist
Thank you so much for your help XD

-A taste of Valhalla, October 19, 2011
-It was done for a simple demo, showing how to quickly create an open environment.
-I was inspired by my travels in finland mostly, as well as a lot of reference images. In general, I'm inspired by everything that is chaotic but yet is esthetic. I've always loved creating things that look "wicked", and destroyed, but yet when you look at it there's a certain esthetic and beauty in it.
-About this image or in general ? I think my work is about creating a sort of window to a world that can't exist with the set of rules that surround us, may it be because of society, historical context or scientific incoherence.
-I'm very inspired by impressionists and romantic painters (late 18th, early 19th century). Very inspired by Friedrich, sargent, craig mullins and a lot more.

Hope that helps ! cheers.
